Important: Medicare Advantage reminder
I hope you are doing well and enjoying the end of 2023. I wanted to send out a quick reminder that Medicare Advantage (Part C) open enrollment begins on Monday, January 1 and runs through March 31, 2024.
As you may know, this period is specifically designed for individuals who are already enrolled in a private Medicare Advantage plan (excluding a Medicare Savings Account, also known as MSA), regardless of whether their plan includes drug coverage.
During the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period, you can:
Switch from your current Medicare Advantage plan (with or without drug coverage) to another Medicare Advantage plan.
Discontinue your Medicare Advantage plan and revert to original Medicare. In this case, you'll also be able to join a standalone Prescription Drug Plan (Part D).
Please note, during this enrollment period, you will not have the option to change to a Medicare Advantage plan.
Join a Medicare drug plan if you have original Medicare.
Switch from one Medicare drug plan to another if you have original Medicare.
Any changes made to your plan during the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period will take effect from the first day of the month following your application approval. Note: You can only make a one-time election during this period, unlike the fall open enrollment.
